Privacy Policy

Overview

Riluno is developed and operated by Henry Hollyman in the United Kingdom. The app is designed to work without an account and to keep your recurring tasks on your device. It does not contain advertising or third-party analytics or tracking tools.

Information stored on your device

Riluno stores the information needed to manage your recurring tasks, including task names, recurrence settings, weekday selections, due dates, and internal task identifiers. It also stores app settings such as your selected theme and limited setup state, including whether widget guidance has been shown.

This information is stored in the app's private storage on your Android device. Riluno does not keep a task-completion history and does not upload your task list to a server operated by Riluno.

Android backup and device transfer

Riluno allows Android's system backup and device-transfer features to include your task data and app settings. If backup is enabled on your device, Google or your device manufacturer may store a copy using its backup service or transfer it when you move to another device.

Riluno does not operate these services and cannot access your system backup. Their handling of your data is governed by the applicable provider's privacy policy and your device settings.

Information the app does not automatically collect

The Riluno app does not automatically collect or send your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, payment card details, or advertising identifiers. It does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Website use

The Riluno website stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. It does not use advertising or analytics tracking. You can remove the saved theme by clearing site data in your browser.

Like most websites, Riluno's hosting provider may process standard technical request information, such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and the date and time of a request, to deliver and secure the website and diagnose faults.

Support emails

If you contact Riluno, the information processed may include your email address, name, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to your enquiry, investigate problems, and maintain related correspondence.

Your email provider and Riluno's email provider process the message as part of normal email delivery and storage.

Optional contributions

Optional contributions are processed by Stripe using a Stripe-hosted payment page. If you choose to contribute, Stripe may collect payment, contact, device, transaction, and fraud-prevention information under Stripe's privacy policy.

Riluno may receive transaction information such as your name or email address, the amount, date, status, and payment method type. Riluno does not receive your full payment card number. Contributions are optional and do not unlock features, content, or rewards.

How and why personal information is used

Where UK data-protection law applies, Riluno relies on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, operate and secure the website, diagnose faults, prevent misuse, and maintain appropriate business records. Information connected with a contribution may also be processed to complete the transaction, handle refunds or disputes, and comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Service providers and data transfers

Personal information may be processed by providers involved in Android backup and device transfer, website hosting, email delivery, and Stripe payment processing. It may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Riluno does not sell personal information.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, those providers are responsible for using appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers.

Retention and deletion

Task data and app settings remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear Riluno's app data, or uninstall the app. Copies held in an Android backup are controlled through your device and backup-provider settings.

The website theme remains in browser local storage until you change it or clear the site's data. Technical website logs are retained according to the hosting provider's operational and security practices.

Support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve related issues, maintain appropriate records, or meet legal obligations. Contribution and transaction records are retained as necessary for payment administration, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal, tax, or accounting requirements.

Security

Riluno limits the information it handles and stores task data in the app's private Android storage. External providers use their own security measures for backups, website hosting, email, and payments. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your rights

You can edit or delete tasks within Riluno and remove locally stored app data through Android's app settings or by uninstalling the app. Riluno cannot access or delete task data held only on your device or in your system backup.

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or transfer of personal information held by Riluno, and to object to certain uses. These rights may be subject to legal limits. To make a request, contact support@riluno.co.uk.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page.
